The Namibia Fishing Safari is a 3 day fishing trip on the coast of Namibia, south of the Atlantic coastal town of Swakopmund. The itinerary is just an example of a fishing trip that can be organized, but it can be customized to a more suitable length or choice of accommodation, depending on personal budget and preferences. This fishing safari is ideal for someone that only has a few days available to wet their lines in the Atlantic Ocean. You will:

• Be based in Swakopmund for the duration of your safari.
• The 300km long coast between Sandwich Harbour and the Ugab River mouth offers excellent angling spots.
• Ski-boat angling will give you the opportunity to fish behind the first surf break.
• Species like cob, west coast steenbras, blacktail and sharks can be caught throughout the year.
• There are no guarantees that the fish will be biting

Day 1: Swakopmund

On arrival, your guide will transfer anglers you to your accommodation in Swakopmund. After a suitable settling in period, there is time to take a short tour of the coastal town, and it's wide range of shops, banking and medical facilities, as well some fine restaurants and bars. (On own account.)

Day 2: Boat Fishing

Start your fishing holiday with ski-boat angling between Swakopmund and Mile 14. The boat will be launched either from Swakopmund Mole or Mile 17. Expected catches include cob, blacktail, west coast steenbras, catfish and various species of shark. (Cow sharks and bronze whalers being the most common.)

Day 3: Shore Fishing

Today's fishing is surf angling along the 300km coastline of the West Coast Recreation Area. Try your luck at all the best fishing spots along the coast, be it at Rondeklip, Blare, Bennie se Rooi Lorrie (Bennie's Red Truck) or even Sarah se Gat.

Day 4: Safari ends

After breakfast the Namibia Fishing Safari comes to an end. There is some time for exploring the town or shopping, before your onward journey.
