Camel riding is an interesting way of exploring the Namib Desert.

Camel Camp
Arrive at Camel Camp in the late afternoon. Meet your fellow riders before enjoying a delicious dinner around the campfire. Get a good nights rest for the day ahead.

Namib Desert
After breakfast, you start your morning ride to a spring in the Gaub Canyon. Ride on to the Canyon Castle after a light lunch. Supper is from the campfire, and enjoy a well deserved sleep near the Castle.

Namib Desert
Another scrumptious breakfast starts the day. Explore some rock engravings, before lunch. Overnight near the Castle.

Namib Desert
After breakfast you start your journey back to Camel Camp. Arrive at Camp at about 15h00.

Compulsory travel insurance including cover for accidents and airlifts is required. This trail gives you the opportunity to see a very special part of the Namib Naukluft Park which is closed for general public and vehicles. No mechanised back-up, all essentials are packed on camels and off we go for true eco-tourism and nature at its best.
