...add this to the Full Namibia itinerary for even more adventures. We can help you find the perfect rental vehicle and recommend accommodation for this itinerary.
| Day | Route/Activities |
| Day 1 Rundu | After leaving Etosha (see Full Namibia or Central and North itineraries) drive to Rundu. Overnight at one of the lodges on the Okavango River or at the Popa Falls Rest Camp. |
| Day 2 Maun | Overnight in Maun. |
| Days 3 - 5 Okavango Delta | Spend your days in a mokoro (hollowed out tree boat) and trekking through the bush. Camp in the delta with hippos, crocodiles and lions. Any trips into the Delta need to be organised through a safari company - and must be booked in advance. The Cardboard Box Travel Shop can make these and any other bookings. |
| Day 6 Maun | Rest after your adventures in the Delta. |
| Day 7 Katima mulilo | Overnight at one of the lodges on the Mighty (but at this point still pretty laid back) Zambezi River. |
| Days 8 - 10 Vic Falls | Bungee jump, white water raft, microlight and booze cruise in Africa's adrenaline capital. Also take a few minutes to look at the Falls. |
| Day 11 Windhoek | It's a long way; don't expect to make it in one day! |

| Vehicle | Even though this self drive itinerary can realistically be completed in a sedan car we would recommend either a 4x4 or Pick-Up Truck (Bakkie) for this itinerary, as the added ground clearance makes driving much safer. Have a look at our car rental in Namibia page for details | |
| Other | During the rainy season section of the roads (especially around Sossusvlei and Damaraland) can get washed away so caution is advised. If you do need to cross a river that is running it is a good idea to walk through it first in order to gauge the strength of the flow and the water depth, if the water is to deep or running to strongly wait a few hours and try again, as the water level generally subsides pretty quickly. | |
