Situated in the Old Breweries Complex in central Windhoek (on the corner of Tal street & Sam Nujoma Avenue), El Cubano is Windhoek's own little bit of Cuba. The Cuban theme extends as far as the decorations - which include the usual pictures of Che Guevara, berets adorned with red stars and Cuban flags - but unfortunately the theme seems to have very little impact on the available drinks. Trying to order even that most quintessential of Cuban beverages, the Mojito, is likely to lead to confusion and angst amongst the staff. The walls are adorned with pictures of revolutionary leaders, both international & Namibian, and endless hours can be spent impress your companions with your ability to identify these famous figures. (If after a few drinks, your ability to identify Fidel Castro is impaired this is probably not going to be a good bar activity for you). This is amongst the most cosmopolitan of Windhoek's bars - and you're sure to run into all manner of interesting people from a wide variety of backgrounds. The fact that El Cubano is situated next to the Warehouse Theater is an added bonus. Location: 48 Tal St. next to Warehouse Theatre Windhoek
